BridgeBuilder and Aaptiv Partner for Mindful Moments
VALDOSTA, GA - BridgeBuilder Education & Investments is proud to announce its new partner, Aaptiv, in bringing 'Mindful Moments' to our Valdosta-Lowndes County school community! According to DeWayne and Amanda Johnson, co-founders of BridgeBuilder Education & Investments, "We felt the partnership was one that fit extremely well with our goal of practicing lifetime options with K-12 students who may or may not have been introduced to self-centering methods that improve personal character, behavior, discipline, and confidence."
Through the BridgeBuilder Education Program, schools can partner with the local company, and its consultants will develop "out of the box", tailored education sessions and curriculum based on the needs and challenges of each individual school. The sessions are designed to improve performance, overcome socioeconomic challenges, and even catapult K-12 students ahead with real-life application and project-based activities. A segment within the BridgeBuilder Education Program is its 'Character Series', where students are immersed into leadership and soft-skill development activities. Within this area is where Aaptiv has agreed to help BridgeBuilder Education & Investments bring meditation and even yoga experiences into the classroom through its new innovative app.
Third grade students at Pinevale Elementary School received first-hand experience with 'Mindful Moments' led by the Johnsons using Aaptiv. "I felt peaceful and calm," stated one of the students after the 10-minute session of meditation. "I think this will help students focus and do their best. " offered Mr. Wooten, the Pinevale Elementary third grade teacher.
